Island Peak and the Everest Base Camp Trek - Nepal Island Peak and the Everest Base Camp Trek - Nepal

The Khumbu Valley offers some of the most beautiful scenery imaginable! We will start the trek from Lukla, which is approximately a one hour flight from Kathmandu. As we make our way to Namche Bazaar, located at 14,000 feet, we pass through small villages and farms, cross raging rivers, and slowly ascend until we see glimpses of the mighty Himalaya. As we acclimatize in and around Namche, we’ll take in the sights and sounds of a unique people who exist at high altitude with no vehicles, basic necessities and only their two feet to transport them. In this harsh environment, it is the Nepalese people that steal your attention, close behind is the stunning backdrop of peaks that are so captivating and hold many stories since climbing began here in 1953, with the first ascent of Everest.

Kathmandu is the starting and ending place for this trip. We stay here the first two nights and the last night of the trip.  For more detail information read the pdf info package.

If you we also offer a extension on this trip.  If you have an extra 10 days, you can also climb Pumori (7145m), a super peak situated right accross from Everest.  Check out our Pumori Expedition.
