Mt. Edith Cavell (3363 meters) - East Ridge
Mt. Edith Cavell is the highest mountain in the Jasper area and one of the classic climbs in the Rockies. The eloquent looking ridge was first climbed by the famous Conrad Kain in 1924 and has stayed a classic climb ever since.
The East Ridge offers good climbing on quartzite, from scrambling to 5.3. Jasper is a 3.5 hour drive north from Canmore.
Technical Difficulty:
Scrambling with technical climbing up to 5.3 and some moderate snow (35 Degrees) near the top.
