Selkirk Lodge Ski Week

The Hut:

Perched at 7200 Feet (2200m) in the Albert Icefield area, 35 km east of Revelstoke, B.C, Selkirk Lodge is a backcountry skiing paradise. The chalet is located high in a valley of breath taking beauty, with spectacular views offered for 360 degrees. This cozy and comfortable lodge has all the amenities, which includes a hot shower, sauna, indoor plumbing and 12V solar powered electric light. The lodge can accommodate up to 12 guests in two, three and four-person bedrooms.

Skiing:

There is excellent skiing, which starts right outside the door. In a little more than one hour, you can be atop Primrose Peak, ready for a 3,500 vertical foot run down to McDougall Creek. At Selkirk Lodge you will experience the true “Selkirk Powder”! It has been said that the terrain here is some of the best hut-based terrain that Canada has to offer!

Fitness level:

You will need to be a strong intermediate skier with a reasonable fitness level, capable of skiing 4000 to 6000 vertical feet in a day. Your endurance level should be such that you could stay out skiing for 6 to 8 hours.

• Return helicopter from Revelstoke
• Accommodation at Selkirk Lodge for 7 nights
• All food prepared and cooked by Chef Kelly (Backcountry Bistro)
• Helicopter flight
• Ground transport from Rogers Pass back to Golden
• Guiding by an ACMG Ski Guide and a ACMG/UIAGM Mountain Guide
  

Cost: $2000 CND + 5% GST per person ; 2011 TBA

Deposit: I will need a deposit of $1000 CAD or $1000 USD..

Meeting Place:

The time and place where we meet will be announced in the information package that I send out once I receive the deposit. I can also organize a shuttle from Calgary Airport to Canmore upon request. Cancellation policies:

The deposit less 10% is refundable up to 90 days prior to trip commencement. From 60 to 90 days the deposit is refundable less 15%. For cancellations within 60 days of trip commencement, there is no refund unless you can find a replacement. If Great Divide Mountaineering cancels the trip, you will receive a 100% refund.

If the balance is less than $500.00, I will need the full amount to reserve your spot. The refund is the same as the above.
